To clarify about application number is a number provided by the caste certificate online portal when anyone applies for a new caste certificate. This application number was sent to the registered mobile number of the applicant and also to the registered email address of the applicant. So before you check the application status you have to know your application number (please check old messages and emails to find the application number)

Let’s know the SC/ST/OBC Certificate applications check online process step by step-

Step 1. To check the West Bengal caste certificate application status online you have to visit the official website of caste certificate WB https://castcertificatewb.gov.in/application-check/. On this website, you can see the “APPLICANT” option at the top of the menu. In this option, you can also see another option named “APPLICATION CHECK” You have to click on this option.

Step 2. After clicking on the application check option you can see a new page open in the screen. On this page, you can see a section of the application number.

In the section you have to enter the application number of your caste certificate application number as I mentioned above. After entering the application number click on the search button.

Step 3. After clicking on the search button you can see the status of the application below in table format as I show in the example.

Status of the Application

In the status table, there were 6 columns available for the status detail. 1. Application number, 2. Applicants name 3. Date of application, 4. Applied for, 5. Father’s name and the last 6. Status. The 6th number column shows the actual application status that you want to check.

In this section, you can see what the process is done on your application. If any application needs any other documents or any changes then you have to change or provide details according to the status.
